Accomodations
We reserved a block of rooms for April 16th and 17th at the Embassy Suites in Valley Forge, located 35 minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from the wedding site. (3.5 hrs from Hartford, CT)
$125 per night gets you a 2 room suite with a king bed and a separate living area with a double sleep sofa. Rooms also have 2 TVs, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffeemaker, iron, hairdryer, and most importantly black out curtains. The hotel has a fitness center and indoor pool, plus there are plenty of running/hiking trails nearby. I will post some local attractions later.
You can book on-line with our special room rate here or call 1-610-647-6700 and mention the Martin-Olds Wedding room block. There should be enough rooms for everyone to stay here, but reserve your rooms sooner than later to avoid any problems. Last date to book a room in the block is March 27th.
Can't wait to see everyone!

APRIL 17TH!!!!!!
I know it took us a while but we finally booked our venue! Turns out wedding planning is even harder when you know nothing about the area you are planning in. After looking at what felt like EVERY venue in the area, we are very excited to have found the Radnor Hunt.
Here's a little about the Hunt.
"historic Radnor Hunt in Malvern, Pennsylvania. One of the oldest recognized hunts in the United States, Radnor Hunt offers dramatic indoor settings and spectacular countryside landscapes... sits on 17 acres of gorgeous countryside and offers an ideal blend of authentic charm and modern amenities"
Read about the history here...
The pictures really don't do the place justice. The grounds are beautiful with working stables on site. The ballroom is walled with picture windows and a great patio and deck. We are planning on having the ceremony under the big tree.

More details to follow soon. We have a busy weekend planned checking out photographers and bands. We were also working on solidifying a block of rooms at a nearby hotel, so that info should be up later this week.
Hope you are as excited as we are!

There Will Be NO Chicken Dance
Of course I would not want to disappoint, so for those of you that need your fix, here's a lovely video.
Country Mouse by a Long Shot
Well, not really, only 12 people voted. But of those 12 people, 75% preferred a country wedding. That's good to hear since that's where I'm leaning. For the city mice, I'm not talking about anything too remote. I'm not talking Amish, you will still have access to running water.

But seriously, we still have a few places to check out, one of which is in the city. I hope to get the location and date confirmed very soon. Thanks for weighing in!

Wedding Songs
Ok, I'll let you have the polka, and maybe even the chicken dance. But the electric slide is being vetoed. And come to think of it, I am pre-vetoing the macarena.
